T his is just superb. It’s a reissue of the iconic Kendall E. W deck of the late 1980s set up as a cruiser/transport board. The graphics are, like most SC graphics, by the legendary Jim Phillips. The deck has medium depth concave. This has a double “flip” to the tail, front rocker and a mellow nose kick. The shape and concave looks to be pretty much the same as the original- mid 80s before boards went double ended. It’s kitted out with one of the best transport wheels going – Slimeball “OG” which are super soft 78a hardness and 60mm diameter. These enable it to eat up rough roads and smooth out the worst skate spots you can find… But swap them for some Slimeball “Vomits” in 97a and you then have a really great pool board too. The trucks are Krux 8.5. Great trucks that are strong and good turning – I rode the exact same trucks on my boards for years. They are mounted on 1/4 risers to give a little more wheel clearance so you can really lean into the turns without wheelbite fears. The blue Santa Cruz rails complete the 80s look and what a look it is. The deck has never been available in this colourway before- sorry Roskopp collectors it only comes as a complete direct from Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz – Kendall E.
