I don’t know the real name of this graphic or shape. Welcome has all kinds of weird cool shapes and designs. I titled it myself. You can do two things: ride or hang this deck on the wall. I ride one deck and hang many others. My house is filled with examples of skate art, like a museum of radness. But I have too many decks to hang on a wall, unless of course I hang them on the Great Wall of China. Now here is your chance to be part of art history. I grew up loving Zorlac skate art. Pushead designs were haunting, and sometimes the decks shape was a trip. To ride these beasts was a dream… Then along came Welcome Skateboards. They make the strangest graphics on the strangest shapes. I fell in love with this company; the new king of strange. Kind of like Zorlac but more Californian than Texan. According to the Welcome website. Welcome was born in 2010 from a desire to embrace and promote the ever-shrinking subcultural side of skateboarding. We love skateboarding for the creativity and individuality it has always bred and thrived on… Welcome started as a means of creating something different for a small group of friends, and is still run exactly the same way today. We believe graphics should have some meaning and be authentic. Your skateboard should make you feel something when you look at. It should be hard to walk past it without sneaking a glance. It should bewitch you. We believe that skateboarding is an art form, and should be treated as such by the people making the boards you ride. If these beliefs speak to you, youre Welcome.
