This is a reissue of the late 1980s iconic deck and is pretty much as the original – shape, size, concave and graphics. The concave is medium/deep on a twin kick profile but with a shorter nose than tail. The nose isn’t as long as a modern pool board but is still plenty useable. T he truck holes are modern spaced so any original 80s trucks wouldn’t fit, without getting the drill out. All modern wide trucks will fit no problem though. A superb looking, thanks to the fade metallic paint finish, reissue that would make a great cruiser board or a nice sized pool machine… Or for adding to your Santa Cruz collection, as most of them will end up. Trucks – 169s / 9.0″plus : Indy 169s, Tracker 6-Track, Gullwing Pro III or Sushi 8.875″ for a cheaper option. (159s/149s would also work especially if using wider wheels). Wheels – Santa Cruz reissues: Slimeballs, Teamriders, Hosoi “Sky Rockets” or OJ Combos; Powell reissues: Rat Bones or G-Bones. If you fancy more modern wheels then keep them 56mm or bigger. Transport Wheels – Kryptonics “Star Trac” wheels 55mm or 60mm. The reds are the softest and so best for transport but even the blues and greens still transport really well or Santa Cruz “Slimeball Maggots”.
