It was my 13th birthday present from my parents. It hung on my wall for several years, the graphics and colors were just too sweet to see it ground down over pipes and curbs. After college, it spent 15 years in a box wrapped in a blanket, then it spent a few years on my son’s wall as decor before finally resting on a shelf in my study. This is the original 1986 Santa Cruz Rob Roskopp pro model, not a reissue. It was originally called the “Street” model though it is better known as the Roskopp “Face” these days. This board with graphics by legend Jim Phillips is easily one of the most iconic skateboard designs ever and the black/blue color combination was my absolute favorite. This deck is a piece of skateboarding history. As requested by many, I have uploaded new pictures of the deck and done my utmost to capture the storage rubbing and paint on top of deck from being displayed on a wall for years (see condition notes). There appears to be no penetration or damage anywhere on the wood itself and a look at the gloss around the mounting holes will show it was never mounted or ridden. Paint is seen to have rubbed off at a couple points of contact from shelf and/or storage but wood itself is immaculate.
