Brand new Santa Monica Airlines reissue of a classic deck from back in 1990. This company was a division of Santa Cruz back then and nothing to do with the SMA brand owned by Rocco. This is the 1st time ever that Santa Cruz have reissed this one and it looks absolutely beautiful in the metallic red painted finish that they’ve gone for. You can tell it’s a later classic from Santa Cruz as the nose is double drilled – this feature only started to appear on decks at the very end of the 80s when boards were just starting to morph into double kicks. Give it another couple of years and they’d all be generic “lolipops”. Directional shape with deep concave, nose kick, front rocker & a steep tail kick. Set-Up advice: (call 0116 2867878). Trucks: Indy 169s, Tracker 6 Tracks, Gullwing Pro III, Gullwing Shadow 9 or Sushi California for a cheaper option. (149 size would work too if you like your wheels “in” a little). Wheels : Santa Cruz “Slimeballs”, “Bigballs”, OJ “Elite Combo” or OJ “Teamriders”. All period corect reissues. Transport Wheels : Kryptonics “Star Trac” in 60mm diameter in either red, blue or green – all superb, fast wheels. 31.25″ x 10″.
