N ew Natas Kaupas pro model from Santa Monica Airlines / Santa Cruz Skateboards. This is a reissue of his mid 80s Panther deck which was the most popular of all of his decks and still is with collectors today. It was originally available in the mid/late 1980s. A true reissue with the same shape, size, concave and graphic. The concave is medium/deep on a twin kick profile but a much shorter nose than tail. Still some there to use if you wanted to skate one though just not a 7 inch monster like many modern pool decks. Probably the nicest looking Natas thanks to the metallic finished inks used to print the graphics contrasting with the matt black (grey) dip. Trucks – 169s / 9.0″plus: Indy 169s, Tracker 6 Tracks, Gullwing Shadow 9.0″ or Sushi “California” for a cheaper option. Wheels – Santa Cruz reissues: Slimeballs, Bigballs, Teamriders , Hosoi Sky Rockets or OJ Combos; Powell reissues: Rat Bones or G-Bones. If you fancy more modern wheels then keep them 56mm or bigger. Transport Wheels – Kryptonics “Star Trac” wheels 55mm or 60mm. The reds are the softest and so best for transport but even the blues and greens still transport really well or Santa Cruz “Slimeball Maggots”.
