T his is just superb. It’s a reissue of the iconic Rob Roskopp “Face” deck of the late 1980s set up as a cruiser/transport board. The graphics are one of the most iconic of all time and like most SC graphics by the legendary Jim Phillips. The deck has medium depth concave and is a “double kick” but the nose is much shorter than the tail kick. The shape and concave look to be pretty much the same as the original, even the top graphic looks to be period correct. It’s kitted out with one of the best transport wheels going – Slimeball “maggots” which are super soft 78a hardness and 60mm diameter. These enable it to eat up rough roads and smooth out the worst skate spots you can find… But swap them for some Slimeball “Vomits” in 97a and you then have a really great pool board too. The trucks are Krux 8.5. Great trucks that are strong and good turning – I ride the exact same trucks on my board! They are mounted on 1/4 risers to give a little more wheel clearance so you can really lean into the turns without wheelbite fears. The pink Santa Cruz rails complete the 80s look and what a look it is. The deck has never been available in this colourway before- sorry Roskopp collectors it only comes as a complete direct from Santa Cruz.
